In 1987 Farmers Mutual Insurance Company started making available a scholarship that would be given to a deserving high school graduating senior. Throughout the years the company's program has expanded by awarding three $800 scholarships to area schools. The schools that are included in this program include:
Palymra High School, Monroe City High School, Marion County R-2 and
Lewis County C-1. To date Farmers Mutual Insurance Company has awarded
over $37,000 towards the continued education of 55 area seniors.
